Kiwi Body Scrub

I was shocked to discover that not only is the 1st day of spring less than a week away, but St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner. Inspired by this discovery, I thought it would be the perfect time to whip up some of my favorite homemade body scrub for some “spring cleaning”. This wonderful recipe will exfoliate and moisturize, leaving your skin primped and primed for the adorable spring attire you have stashed away in your closet.

You will need:

1 Tbsp Coconut Oil, melted

3-4 Tbsp Sea Salt

1 Kiwi

Muddler  

Small airtight container for storing your scrub 

Optional: essential oils (such as coconut, mint, etc)

Start by muddling the kiwi in a small bowl until it looks like the consistency of applesauce.

Next, add your sea salt to your airtight container and mix in the melted coconut oil. I like to use a ratio of 2 parts salt to 1 part oil, but since we are adding a fruit with a higher water content I have added more salt.

Mix in your kiwi puree, and voila….homemade kiwi body scrub. Feel free to add in a few drops of your favorite essential oil to add even more deliciousness. Store in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to two weeks…although after you discover how wonderful your skin feels, it might not last you that long. Enjoy!
